Meet Dale Burridge

Dale Burridge has been part of the entertainment industry for over 40 years, having had a prestigious career starring in Major Music Theatre Productions in Australia and across the globe.

Musicals such as The Sound of Music (Australia and UK), Oliver, Anything Goes, Seven Little Australians, Scrooge the Musical and Les Misérables (Australia, Africa and Asia).

Dale was also cast by the late iconic American director Hal Prince as Raoul in the 1990 Premier Australian Production of The Phantom of the Opera alongside Anthony Warlow and Marina Prior. Dale has also featured in numerous concert programs, cabarets and at festivals in Australia and internationally.

In more recent years, Dale carved out a career as a highly regarded concert and corporate entertainment producer prior to making his return to the stage in 2021.

Martin Crewes has worked extensively on stage and screen in Australia and across the globe.

He has appeared in West Side Story, Les Misérables, Hair, The Man from Snowy River Arena Spectacular, Dr Zhivago, Sweet Charity, Dream Lover and Jekyll & Hyde.

He has appeared on television in Neighbours, Dream Time, Heartbeat, Casualty, Crownies and A Place to Call Home and in various films including D.O.A., Santa Rita, Patrick, Resident Evil and the new Australian feature film Everything in Between.

Martin is excited to come on board with Dale as Co-writer and Director of At The Crossroads. Martin and Dale both starred opposite each other as Marius and Enjoralas in the Asia/Africa tour of Les Misérables.

Meet Bev Kennedy

Bev Kennedy is generally regarded as one of Australia’s leading Musical Directors and accompanists, having worked on over 40 professional productions.

Shows she has worked on include Billy Elliot, Mamma Mia! The Producers, We Will Rock You, The Lion King, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Chicago, Wicked and The Concert version of Sunset Boulevard with Judi Connelli. She was assistant Musical Director for Simon Gallaher’s Pirates of Penzance, which is the highest selling recording of a musical in Australian history and also won an ARIA award for best soundtrack.

Most recently Bev has been working on the shows Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, School of Rock, Evita featuring Tina Arena, Muriel’s Wedding, Jersey Boys, Jekyll and Hyde in Concert with Anthony Warlow and was Musical Director on the touring version of Ave Q and the Australian premiere of Heathers for which she was nominated for a Sydney theatre critics award. She was also nominated for a Green room award for her work as Musical Director on Gutenberg the Musical.

In the past Bev has accompanied International artists such as Joan Rivers and Grammy award winners Liz Callaway, Jose Carreras, Basement Jaxx, Thelma Houston and Sir Bryn Terfel, and continues to play for award winning artists such as Bob Downe, Trevor Ashley, Tina Arena and Anthony Warlow. She is also a consultant and adjudicator for the Sydney Eisteddfod and a teacher at the Actor’s Centre and the Talent Development Project. Bev is also currently the talent co-ordinator for Sydney’s premiere Cabaret venue Claire’s Kitchen.

Meet Mark Szeto

Mark was born 1972 in Hong Kong, moved with his family to Sydney, Australia when he was eleven years old.

After taking up jazz double bass in 2001, Mark joined the Sydney based world music band Monsieur Camembert, touring extensively throughout Australia, Asia and Europe including performances at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland. The band won an ARIA award for Best World Music Album in 2003 for Absynthe and again in 2005 for their self-titled double album.

In 2004, Mark took up classical double bass and since then has played with many of Sydney’s classical ensembles. As co-principal double bass with The Metropolitan Orchestra, Mark has played double bass and bass guitar in string and rhythm sections for many touring international artists and local music greats.

Mark continues to work as a freelance musician in Sydney and teaches privately and with the NSW Schools Arts Unit and is excited to be the resident double bass on At The Crossroads.
